Senator Saland Recognized By The Village Of Valatie Fire Department
Senator Steve Saland (R,C Poughkeepsie) was recognized today by the Village of Valatie Fire Department for securing $13,000 in funding for the department. The money will be used to purchase a new state-of-the-art thermal imaging camera.
"We greatly appreciate Senator Saland's assistance in securing this funding," said Frank Bevens, 2nd Assistant Chief for the Village of Valatie Fire Department. "This new equipment will leave us better prepared to respond to fire emergencies in Valatie. Additionally, this new technology will help keep our residents and firefighters safe."
"I am pleased that this funding will allow the Valatie Fire Department to purchase a new thermal imaging camera," said Senator Saland. "This is an extremely valuable tool for both firefighters and potential victims. I am hopeful that the tireless efforts of our volunteer firefighters will be assisted by these additional resources. I appreciate their dedication in making the village a safer place and will continue to work on behalf of departments in my district to secure the funding they need for specialized equipment."
