Senator Dale M. Volker Secures $10,000 For The Town And Village Of Pike

(DEPEW, N.Y.) – Senator Dale M. Volker today announced that he has secured $10,000 for the Town and Village of Pike’s bicentennial celebration slated for July 14-16th, 2006 in the Village of Pike. These state funds will support funding already appropriated by the Town and Village of Pike for these festivities.

"It has always been my main priority to be of assistance to the municipalities and the residents that I represent," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "Supervisor Rogers and Wyoming County Chairman Berwanger brought to my attention that the Town and Village of Pike was in need of some additional funding to ensure that their bicentennial celebration will be a complete success. It was my pleasure to secure $10,000 for this important Town and Village celebration and I am looking forward to being there on July 14-16th of this year to enjoy with the residents of the Town and Village their wonderful history."

Larry W. Rogers, Supervisor of the Town of Pike said, "This is tremendous news for the Town and Village of Pike’s bicentennial celebration. These funds will allow our two municipalities to provide our residents with a full array of activities to enjoy and participate in. I appreciate Senator Volker’s openness to our request and for his diligence in securing $10,000 in state funds so as to fully fund our "Pike-200 Years along the Wiscoy" bicentennial celebration."
