Senator Volker Secures $500,000 For F.f. Thompson Hospital

ALBANY, N.Y.) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-C-I, Depew) announced today that he has secured $500,000 for F.F. Thompson Hospital. These new state funds will complement financial investments by F.F. Thompson and from significant donations from the community to allow for the new Hawks Emergency Department, Polisseni Family Diagnostic Imaging Department and other critical clinical needs at F.F. Thompson Hospital.

"F.F. Thompson Hospital is one of the finest health care facilities in the upstate region, and thousands of our residents depend upon their outstanding services for improved outcomes," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "In order to expand their capabilities, and provide even better emergency and diagnostic services, F.F. Thompson made a compelling case for state financial assistance culminating in today’s announcement of $500,000. I continue to look forward in working with F.F. Thompson to be of assistance and ensure the finest quality of health care is made available to our region."

F.F. Thompson Hospital continues to bring breakthrough technology to our region," said Senator Volker. "The Diagnostic Imaging Department's new 40-slice CT scanner is the most advanced equipment available and delivers highly detailed images of the human body. With this new technology, Thompson can offer a breakthrough medical procedure developed within the past year: the virtual colonoscopy."
