Senator Volker Secures $500,000 For Wyoming County Hospital

(ALBANY, N.Y.) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-C-I, Depew) announced today that he has secured $500,000 for the Wyoming County Hospital. These new state funds will complement financial investments made by Wyoming County to continue accessible and affordable outstanding health care services to the Wyoming County community.

"Wyoming County Hospital, although a rural health care facility, is one of the finest health care providers in the region, and thousands of Wyoming County residents depend upon their outstanding services for their health care needs," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "Working with Doug Berwanger, Chairman of the Wyoming County Supervisors, we were successful in advocating for additional state funding to protect those essential health care services that our community needs and depends upon."

Douglas Berwanger, Chairman of the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors said, "Senator Volker continues to be an outstanding advocate on our county’s behalf in Albany, and by securing $500,000 in new funding for the Wyoming County Hospital this facility will continue to provide for better medicine and improved outcomes for patients. From securing an Empire Zone for Wyoming County, to today’s announcement in securing $500,000 for the Wyoming County Hospital, I greatly appreciate his support for our region and county."

The Wyoming County Hospital provides outstanding primary care, nursing home care, general acute, and specialty services to residents of and visitors to Wyoming County. The Wyoming County Hospital is in touch with the community throughout the year offering a variety of educational and support programs as well as preventative screening or wellness clinics.
