Senator Farley Reminds Constituents To Change Clocks On March 11th For Daylight Savings Time
State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) reminds constituents that March 11th is the day to change clocks ahead one hour as part of the Daylight Savings Time initiative.
"In 2005, the federal government changed Daylight Savings Time for the year 2007 as part of an energy conservation plan," Senator Farley said. "This year, Daylight Savings Time will begin three weeks earlier - on March 11th - and end one week later on November 4th."
Senator Farley added, "When you change your clocks, this is a perfect opportunity to change the batteries in your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. You should really check the batteries at least twice a year."
