Senator Flanagan Reminds Parents About Financial Aid Day At Suny Schools

John J. Flanagan

Dear Friend:

With one child currently enrolled in college and two others who plan to attend in the next few years, I am well aware of the need for families to utilize programs to help pay for college-related expenses. That is why I am happy to inform you about an important program that has recently come to my attention that is designed to help you make sense of all the programs that are available.

This Saturday, February 10th, the State University of New York (SUNY) will host a statewide Student Financial Aid Day at many campuses across the state. This program will feature financial aid workshops that are designed to answer questions and help families navigate through the financial aid process. Each campus program is offered as a service to all prospective college students and their families regardless of the school they are looking to attend.

Many campuses will also provide hands-on assistance from SUNY financial aid professionals in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is required for all financial aid applications, including New York State assistance.

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE SUNY WEB SITEto learn more about the activities planned at the campus nearest you and to register for the event.

If you are unable to attend this important event and would like to receive information regarding financial aid, please CLICK HERE TO REQUEST FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION.

Sincerely,

John J. Flanagan
New York State Senator, 2nd District
