Senator Flanagan Speaks About Future Of Nissequogue River State Park On The Cutting Edge

Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) will appear on the Cutting Edge on WLNY TV55 to discuss the future of the Nissequogue River State Park. On the show airing this Saturday and Sunday, Senator Flanagan joined Newsday's James Klurfeld, former Suffolk County Executive John Klein and the President of the Long Island Association (LIA) Matthew Crosson to continue his call for the new administration to respect the Kings Park community and to preserve this park.

The Cutting Edge airs on WLNY TV55 on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The show follows the recent visit by Parks Commissioner Carol Ash which was originally intended as a private tour for the Long Island Association and Newsday. The fact that the LIA has publicly stated their support for development on property raises further concerns about the administration's commitment to this park.

Senator Flanagan used this opportunity to demand that the Spitzer administration Keep the Park in Kings Park and to make sure that the voice of the community is heard.
