Senator Robach Awards Pattie Anthony Of Greece With 2007 Woman Of Distinction Award

Senator Joseph E. Robach presented Pattie Anthony with the 2007 Senate Woman of Distinction Award on Tuesday as a part of the New York State Senate’s annual "Women of Distinction" ceremony in Albany.

From the women's suffrage movement 150 years ago to the present day, women have played a crucial role in New York State's political, social and economic development. The Senate is proud to recognize a small sample of the countless New York State women who are known for their groundbreaking achievements. This ceremony helps honor the remarkable women of today throughout New York State.

"This award ceremony is a great opportunity for us to celebrate Pattie Anthony’s tireless work on behalf of the Town of Greece and her distinguished record of community," Robach said. "It is an honor and a privilege to present the 2007 Senate Woman of Distinction Award to Pattie Anthony. She is a remarkable woman who has worked hard to make our community a better place to live."

"I would like to congratulate Greece Town Clerk Pattie Anthony on receiving Senator Joe Robach's 2007 Woman of Distinction Award," Greece Town Supervisor John T. Auberger said. "Throughout the years, Pattie has served our community with such professionalism and dedication and she has worked hard to get to where she is today. Because of this, Pattie truly serves as a role model for women around this state to follow not only through her professional and personal achievements, but also through her commitment and dedication to those around her."

"Congratulations to Pattie Anthony for being named a 2007 Woman of Distinction by Senator Joe Robach," Greece Town Deputy Supervisor Jeffery McCann said. "She is truly deserving of this recognition for everything she has done and continues to do for those in our community. It is great to see Pattie being recognized for her hard work and dedication."

As a lifelong resident of the Town of Greece, Patricia Anthony has shown tremendous dedication, commitment and passion to improving the quality of life for Greece residents. She has worked for the Town of Greece, a municipality of 94,000 people, for over 24 years. Currently, Pattie is the Town Clerk, and part of the senior management team. During her tenure, the Town has been awarded the Crown Communities Award, the Design for Excellence Award, Tree City USA Award, Outstanding Planning Award, the Morgan-Quito Award (recognized as one of the safest communities in the nation), and an Excellence in Traffic Safety award from the American Automobile Association.

Pattie is a member of the New York State Town Clerk’s Association; Treasurer of the Monroe County Town Clerk and Tax Receiver’s and Collectors Association; member of the New York Association of Local Government Records Officers and the Friends of the Greece Public Library. She is also the Town Liaison to the Board of Trustees of the Greece Public Library, serves as coordinator for the town’s two local development corporations and as the coordinator for student volunteers.

Aside from working for the Town of Greece, Pattie has made it a priority to give back to the community. She is a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church and a contributor of the meal program ministry. In her parish, she held the positions of Co-Chairperson of the St. John’s Parish Sports Committee and Co-Chairman of the School Advisory and Communications Committees.

Senator Robach will also present this distinguished award to Jessie Marvin Lazeroff of Brighton in August at Brighton Town Hall.
