Senator Parker Hosts Community Blood Drive
In his response to the blood shortage in New York State, State Senator Kevin Parker, conducted a massive blood drive in his district in conjunction with the Flatbush Development Corporation. As Honorary Chair of the Brooklyn/Staten Island Blood Services, 2007 Blood Donor Campaign, Senator Parker is passionate about holding to our civic responsibilities of supporting blood donations.
Spirits of the donors were high as people brave the blustery mid-December cold to donate blood. In all 18 pints of blood were collected out of 21 potential donors. "We have had a long-standing relationship with the Flatbush Development Corporation and together we have hosted three blood drives this year," said Senator Parker who is himself a regular blood donor.
