Golden At Senate Hearing On Illegal Drivers License

Senator Golden appeared at an October 31st Joint Committee Meeting of the Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee and Transportation Committee.

During this meeting, Senator Golden questioned Department of Motor Vehicle Commissioner David Swarts regarding Governor Spitzer’s proposal which would give New York State drivers’ licenses to
illegal immigrants.

Golden was particularly concerned about the safety of New Yorkers under the Governor’s plan and how it could potentially add to the problem of voter fraud in New York State.
