Senator Golden To Honor Local Women In Conjunction With Celebration Of Women's History Month
State Senator Martin Golden will honor women from the community for their outstanding service. They have been selected by their peers for this award.
On Thursday March 8, 2007 at 7PM at the Bay Ridge Manor, 76th St between 4th & 5th Avenue the following women will be honored by Senator Golden:
Iris Y. Chiu, Andrea D’Emic, Principal of St. Patrick’s School, Carmella Golino, from St. Finbar, Sandy Irrera, Sr. Virginia Lake, Bishop Kearney High School, and Maureen Neuringer of Mapleton Kiwanis.
Senator Marty Golden stated, "Each year, the country marks the month of March with a celebration of Women’s History Month, a time for our nation as a collection of communities to highlight and honor those women who have brought about change through their untiring efforts, and to pay tribute to the women who have made a difference. I am proud to honor these outstanding women of our community and pay tribute to all they have accomplished."
