Senator Nozzolio Delivers $50,000 For Interlaken Public Library

Michael F. Nozzolio

Interlaken- Calling our local libraries the window to the world, State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio today announced that he has secured a $50,000 State grant for the Interlaken Public Library. The funding will be used for the construction of a new addition to the existing building for use as a Children’s Reading Room. Senator Nozzolio made the announcement at the library on Main Street in Interlaken.

“Our libraries provide countless opportunities for everyone in the community, from our children and families to our adults and senior citizens,” said Senator Nozzolio. “The new Children’s Reading Room will help open our youngster’s eyes to the wonders of reading and learning. Libraries have always held a special meaning to me and it was a pleasure to be able to secure this State grant.”

Pat Moore, Director of the Interlaken Public Library said, “Senator Nozzolio’s efforts to secure this grant will enable the library to expand our children’s room, which is something we have been hoping to do. Without Senator Nozzolio’s support, this would not be possible. We greatly appreciate his hard work on behalf of the Interlaken Library.”

“There is no greater resource in our communities than the local library. We must continue to support our libraries in order to ensure that our children and future generations have the opportunity to learn and grow, make new discoveries, and achieve their greatest hopes and dreams,” Nozzolio concluded.
