Hudson Valley Talent/leaders Salute Senator

Thomas P. Morahan

NYS Senator Thomas P. Morahan was honored by several hundred elected officials, community and business leaders and activists, as well as a cadre of talented performer from the lower Hudson Valley, including presentation from the Suffern High School String Ensemble,United States Army Field Band, New York State Police, Rockland Community College, Arts Council of Rockland, Chiku Awali African Dance Company, and The Juilliard School.

Dr. Harold Koplewicz, MD, considered one of America's leading child and adolescent psychiatrists, and the founder and director of the NYU Child Study Center, and Dr. Cliff Wood, President of RCC, delivered the keynote remarks for Senator Morahan, who serves as the Chairman of the NYS Senate's Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee.

 

The ceremonies will culminate with the administration of the oath of office. The event took place at SUNY Rockland Community College's new state-of-the-art Technology Center.
