Bellmore-merrick Central High School District’s Saul Lerner Appointed To Statewide Advisory Panel

      State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) announced today that Saul Lerner, Director of Physical Education, Athletics, Driver Education, and Health at the Bellmore-Merrick Central
High School District, has been appointed to a statewide advisory panel on driver education. Senator Fuschillo recommended Mr. Lerner to the Senate for appointment to the position.

      As a member of the panel, Mr. Lerner will examine, assess, and make recommendations about how driver education instruction can be improved and made more available. The panel will make a report to the Governor and the Legislature of its conclusions, recommendations, and findings.

      “Saul’s expertise and experience will be a great addition to the panel, and will go a long way towards helping reduce the number of teen driving deaths on our roadways,” said Senator Fuschillo.
