Senator Fuschillo Secures $250,000 For Massapequa Schools To Save Taxpayer Money By Going Green

Charles J. Fuschillo Jr.

“As the price of energy continues to rise, the Massapequa School District is being forced to spend more and more taxpayer dollars to power their operations. Using alternative energy sources like solar power, which is clean and renewable, will help reduce energy costs and save money for Massapequa taxpayers,” said Senator Fuschillo.

The Massapequa School District will use the state funding secured by Senator Fuschillo to purchase and install solar energy technology. Since solar power is a clean, renewable energy source, it will provide power without the need for oil or gas. It will also help students learn firsthand about the benefits of alternative energy and how it works.

“On behalf of the Board of Education and the Massapequa, I want to express my appreciation to Senator Fuschillo for this funding and his continued support of the Massapequa Public Schools. Using solar technology to keep costs down will help us save money for our taxpayers,” said Massapequa School District Acting Superintendent Charles V. Sulc.
