Senator Skelos Secures Funding For The Oceanside Counseling Center

Senate Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos (9th Senate District) recently announced that he secured $5,000 in the 2008-09 State Budget for the Oceanside Counseling Center to help fund expenses associated with the services and equipment for the center.

The Oceanside Counseling Center provides supportive, skills-building and rehabilitative services for the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as other compulsive behaviors. This program offers a range of services designed for men, women and children and their families who are suffering from the debilitating consequences of addiction.

“ The Oceanside Counseling Center is an excellent organization that helps many people with their disabilities and mental health,” said Senator Skelos. “I am happy to have been able to obtain this money for the center and know it will make a difference in the lives of many battling addiction.”
