Skelos And Local Officials Tour Willow Pond

New York State Senate Deputy Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) was joined by Mayor Mark Weiss of Hewlett Harbor, Mayor Steve Kaufman of Hewlett Bay Park, and Deputy Mayor Leonard Oppenheimer of Hewlett Harbor, to view the newly revitalized Willow Pond. Senator Skelos was secured $75,000 in State funds for the recently completed revitalization project.

“This is a great project,” said Senator Skelos. “By clearing the brush and debris from Willow Pond, we’ve reopened access to the area for the community.”

Senator Skelos, Mayor Weiss, Mayor Kaufman and Deputy Mayor Oppenheimer toured the completed pond and spoke about the steps that were taken to revitalize the pond.
