Senator Farley Announces Bullet Aid Authorized For Local Schools
State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) announced a Joint Resolution has been passed by both the New York State Senate and Assembly authorizing Bullet Aid for State Fiscal Year 2007-08.
Senator Farley explained Bullet Aid as being a plan for the allocation of certain moneys appropriated to the education department for elementary, middle, secondary and continuing education.
Senator Farley was able to secure $100,000 each for the small city school districts of Amsterdam, Gloversville and Johnstown in this newest Bullet Aid allocation.
"These school districts were struggling with keeping school property taxes stable," Senator Farley said, "and this Bullet Aid will help offset rising costs."
These grants have been transmitted to the State Education Department for processing.
