Senator Robach Appointed Chairman of Senate’s Committee on Labor
Senator Robach today announced that he has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Senate’s Committee on Labor.
"I am happy to have been appointed Chairman of the Senate’s Committee on Labor," stated Senator Robach. "Under Senator Maziarz’s leadership, the Senate has reached historic grounds on many critical issues facing New York’s workforce and I look forward to continuing this success."
Senator Robach officially began his new position on Tuesday, March 4.
He continued, "As Labor Chair, I will continue to focus on the many issues facing New Yorkers, such as creating careers and job opportunities and providing a good wage to all New Yorkers. There is important work ahead of us, and I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues and representatives within the labor industry. Together, we can make our State a better place for New York’s working men and women."
Senator Robach was first elected to the New York State Senate in 2002. Since that time, he has served as Chairperson of the Civil Service and Pensions Committee.
