BREASTFEEDING EXPRESS

The A train became a nursery last week when 30 women took a ride for the annual "Breastfeeding Mothers’ Subway Caravan."

"The caravan went really well," said Kyle Sklerov, spokesman for State Sen. Liz Kruger.

The women held up signs, belted out chants and distributed postcards made out to State Sen. Kent Hannon, chair of the Senate Standing Committee on Health, according to a release. Hannon’s committee faces a decision on the Breastfeeding Billof Rights. Originally introduced by Kruger in 2006, the bill would, among other things, ban commercial interests from influencing new mothers’ decision to breastfeed.
