Three Kings Will Visit Bronx Children
New York State Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz, Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr., Affinity Health Plan and the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization, will be celebrating the Visit of the Three Kings with free toys for the first 1000 children between the ages of 1 and 10 years of age. This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the auditorium of P.S. 5 located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and 149th Street in The Bronx.
In the spirit of intercultural unity, Ambassador Kenneth Liao of the New York Taipei Economic and Cultural Council, Ms. Patsy Fang Chen, President of the Taiwanese American Association of New York, and Ms. Huey-Yin Lin representing the Buddha’s Light International Association will attend the event. St. Barnabas Parish has also contributed gifts for children attending this celebration.
The traditional celebration is conducted to remember the visit of the Three Kings, Balthazar, Melcher and Gasper, who visited and brought presents to Baby Jesus at the time of his birth.
This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the auditorium of P.S. 5 located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and 149th Street in The Bronx.
The child must be present to receive a gift.
