State Senator Velmanette Montgomery and Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman will host a Community Workshop on Energy Conservation and Green Building Strategies on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Belarusian Church, located at 401 Atlantic Avenue (at Bond Street) in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
This forum is an opportunity for organizations to share energy efficiency and conservation tips with citizens that are interested in “going green.” The forum will feature short presentations on the following topics: Programs to Finance Going Green, Green Jobs for Energy Independence, Energy Efficient Options for Brownstone Renovations, and Energy Smart Buildings. A question and answer session will be held after the presentations. In addition, all attendees will be provided light refreshments and free environmental products.
The event is free and open to the public.
