State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently helped welcome Literacy Nassau to its new home in the Village of Freeport.

Staff and volunteers gave Senator Fuschillo a tour of their new home at 187 Smith Street and invited him to help cut the ribbon and officially open the new building.

For over 40 years, Literacy Nassau has been promoting and fostering literacy to adults who need to improve their basic reading skills. Trained volunteers, who are recruited from all across Nassau County, work with these individuals in one-on-one and small group settings to provide training that will help them meet their goals.
