Senator Savino Partakes in Holiday Gift Giving at Project Hospitality Dinner
(Staten Island) State Senator Diane Savino and Joseph Fontano, Vice President Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union, local 338, will present Executive Director of Project Hospitality, Terry Troia with two gift cards. The gift cards of $250 each, one is from King Kullen Supermarkets and the other gift card is for use at A&P Supermarkets. Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union, local 338 also donated a $500 gift card to Project Hospitality from their members. Project Hospitality will use these gift cards to purchase food for their annual Christmas and Holiday dinners for the under privileged on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Senator Savino stated, "No one should go hungry during the holiday season, my thanks to the working men and women of RWDSU local 338 for showing their compassion for fellow Islanders today."
Joe Fontano noted, "Your neighborhood retailers, grocers, butchers and stock workers want to make sure this Holiday season is warm and nourishing for even those who cannot afford to shop at our supermarkets and we are pleased to work with Project Hospitality and Senator Savino to give back."
