Senator Flanagan Visits Kings Park Students
Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently visited the R.J.O. Intermediate School in Kings Park to speak with Ms. Katie Trachtenberg’s 4th grade class. Senator Flanagan met with the class to discuss his role in the New York State legislative process.
After providing the students with a quick overview of state government, Senator Flanagan answered a number of questions from the class about issues ranging from the future of the Kings Park Psychiatric Center to his role models as a child.
"It is truly a privilege to be able to bring government to the children of our community and I thank Ms. Trachtenberg and her students for inviting me to their class,” stated Senator Flanagan. “The student’s knowledge of current state affairs was extremely impressive and their questions were very thought provoking. I hope they enjoyed our time together as much as I did.”
