Senator Robach Announces Grant to Expand Hillside's Vocational Training Programs
Grant will help fund renovations to Hillside Children’s Center Monroe Avenue Campus
State Senator Joseph Robach (R-56th District) announced recently that $250,000 has been secured to assist Hillside Children's Center (HCC) with its Monroe Avenue campus renovation project.
“When Hillside needed it, Senator Robach mobilized and led the effort to ensure that Hillside is able to continually meet the ever-changing needs of the children we are privileged to serve and who need the services offered on the Monroe Avenue campus,” said Dennis Richardson, Hillside Family of Agencies president and CEO.
The dollars will be used to renovate Hillside’s Eastman Hall to provide vocational training opportunities in the culinary arts and technology/communications for youth served on HCC’s Monroe Avenue campus.
“I am happy to have secured this grant for Hillside Family of Agencies for vocational training in culinary arts and technology/communications for resident students. This grant will give Hillside’s children the skills that they need to build careers. This is a wonderful opportunity for these kids and I applaud Hillside for their exceptional work serving Rochester’s youth,” said Senator Robach.
