Senate passes bill for out-of-state health care professionals at Ironman

ALBANY - The state Senate passed a bill Thursday that would allow out-of-state health care professionals to provide services to Ironman competitors in Lake Placid.
"The triathlon is an intense athletic event and having the licensed health care professionals available is very important for the health and well-being of the athletes," Sen. Betty Little, R-Queensbury, who sponsored the legislation, said in a statement. "This legislation is needed to allow licensed volunteers from out of state to perform these services."
