SENATOR FUSCHILLO WELCOMES GIRL SCOUT “ICEBREAKERS” TO STATE CAPITOL

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently welcomed members of the “Icebreakers” Girl Scout First Lego League team to the State Capitol in Albany. The girls were in Albany as part of the Girl Scouts’ annual legislative showcase. 

            The “Icebreakers” team, which is made of up girls from North Merrick, Farmingdale, and Baldwin, had their work displayed in the Empire State Plaza, where it was on view for legislators, state workers, and capitol visitors. The First Lego League is a global competition designed to get children excited about science and technology through research, problem solving and engineering.
