Senator Robach Introduces New Jobs Initiative Program

New York Senator Joe Robach introduced a new jobs initiative program at PGM Corporation in Rochester Thursday afternoon.

The senator said the proposal focuses on four key components: cap on state spending, job creation tax credit, small business tax freedom plan, and a red tape moratorium plan.

Robach said those components will improve New York's business climate, reduce taxes and help employers create new jobs.

"Almost all these things, unlike other business plans that have been rolled out, would not cost government. We don't have to take it away from anybody. Just really with some innovative thinking, a little different direction could make the ground here a little bit more fertile for business," Robach said.

The corporate vice president of PGM said any proposal that provides relief from new taxes and fees for local business is welcome.

PGM is a manufacturing company with its corporate headquarters on Emerson Street.
