Governor Cuomo releases proposed 2012-2013 state budget -- learn more and follow this year's budget adoption process

Governor Andrew Cuomo has now released his 2012-2013 Executive Budget Proposal -- the first step in this year's state budget adoption process leading up to the April 1, 2012 start of New York's new fiscal year.

In 2011, the Senate joined the Governor and the Assembly to pass an on-time budget that achieved  the critically important goals of controlling and reducing state spending, avoiding tax increases, and encouraging a better business climate and the creation of private-sector jobs.

This year, we will look to build upon this welcome and long-overdue progress by passing another on-time, fiscally responsible and economically sound budget that keeps New York moving in the right direction.
