Legislature approves 'equal pay for equal work' legislation

Late yesterday at the Capitol, the New York State Assembly unanimously approved "equal pay for equal work" legislation that was the first order of business taken up and approved by the state Senate in January at the start of the 2015 legislative session. 

The measure will now be delivered to Governor Andrew Cuomo to be signed into law.
