“Taxpayers at all levels of government deserve public officials who prioritize the well-being of the public over self gain,” Sen. James Gaughran, who represents New York’s fifth district, said in a statement.
Sen. John Brooks, who represents New York’s eighth district, said in a statement that the guilty plea “confirms what Long Islanders already know: Corruption and abuse of power is rampant and out-of-control.”
