State Sen. Mike Gianaris has asked Police Commissioner James O’Neill to open a hate crimes probe into a homophobic sign discovered in a Queens subway station Friday.

“Hate is a crisis in our communities,” the Queens Democrat wrote in a statement. “I was notified by local residents earlier today of an anti-LGBT hand-drawn sign posted at the Seneca Avenue M-Train station. This is horrifying and unacceptable.”

He added: “I am asking that the NYPD Investigate this incident as a hate crime.”

The sign, which read “Kill all fa—-s” was spotted at the Seneca Street M-train stop in Queens’s Ridgewood neighborhood on Friday.
