Riverdale Press: Senate takes on auto voter registration

The state senate has scheduled a hearing on automatic voter registration May 30 in Albany, led by state Sen. Zellnor Myrie of Brooklyn.

“Voting is a right that protect all other rights, yet New York is consistently ranked among the worst in the country in voter turnout,” Myrie said, in a release. “At a time when voting rights are under assault at the federal level across the country, it is more important than ever to expand and protect our democracy in New York.”
