FedEx delivers hundreds of coats to Staten Island students

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — FedEx Cares volunteers provided nearly 400 coats to elementary school students on Staten Island earlier this month.

The project dives into the unique challenges and strengths of Staten Island as it stands at the crossroads of change, according to the film. It features conversations with various community leaders, including: Borough President Vito Fossella; Councilmember Kamillah Hanks (D-North Shore): Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn); Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton (D-North Shore/South Brooklyn), Staten Island Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Mike Cusick, and Freshkills Park Alliance NYC Park Administrator and President Mark Murphy, as well as other local voices.
