
Alder Bera awarded Eagle Scout in New Windsor

The Eagle Scout Award is the highest award available to youth members of the Boy Scouts of America. On January 5, at New Windsor Community Center, Troop 28 held a Court of Honor Ceremony for Alder Bera. Bera’s Eagle Project was Hospice of Orange/Sullivan Counties, where he provided health care items, day to day necessities which are not covered by Medicare or other insurance benefits, and Bera also collected over $2000 in donations.
Attending the ceremony were New Windsor Town Board Members who presented a Certificate of Achievement; Captain Alfred Worden, New York State Police, who presented a Certificate from Major Michael Sumnick, Troop F Major; Assemblyman Christopher Eachus, and Senator James Skoufis, Representative gave Certificates from State Assembly/State Senate on Alder’s achievement.
