Bill providing recourse for ‘stealthing’ during intimacy advances from Senate Floor

STATEWIDE — A BILL FROM A BROOKLYN LAWMAKER that provides recourse in “stealthing” situations during consented sexual encounters passed the State Senate floor vote on Wednesday, April 2. Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton (D-23) is main sponsor of SB4322 (2025) Legislation Protecting People Against Stealthing Passes on New York Senate Floor, which creates a private right of action for the unconsented removal or tampering with a sexually protective device meant to prevent unintended pregnancy or transmittable disease.
