
Community Board 1 meeting highlights major waterfront redevelopment projects

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The North Shore waterfront took main stage at the February Community Board 1 meeting this week that saw an informative lineup of speakers, a robust turnout of North Shore residents, and every elected official and/or their representatives in the Community Board 1 domain.
Significant topics covered included the North Shore action plan focused on public waterfront access, redevelopment, and housing efforts. Construction will begin on the Tompkinsville Esplanade in the spring of 2025.
