Dutchess Sheriff wants to hire state correction officers fired by governor

Dutchess County is willing to hire New York State correction officers who were fired by Governor Hochul after they participated in a three-week unauthorized wildcat strike recently.  That was the message delivered by Dutchess County Sheriff Kirk Imperati and County Executive Sue Serino on Monday.
