Senator Young Announces Arts Grants

State Senator Catharine Young (R,I,C - Olean) today joined with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) in announcing local assistance grants. NYSCA's annual appropriation for grants and operations are received from the Governor and the Legislature each fiscal year.
"Providing funding for the arts is essential to preserve and expand the rich and diverse cultural resources and heritage of New York’s citizens," said Senator Young. "The grants given out touch every age group throughout the Senate District. I congratulate and commend each and every organization for what they do to enrich lives here in western New York."
NYSCA accepts grant proposals each year from nonprofit organizations incorporated in New York State. NYSCA is organized into discipline programs, each of which receives funding requests in a specific arts discipline or field.
