Senator Johnson Honors An All-american

State Capitol, Albany, New York, June 8, 2006 -- State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, recently presented Danielle Wilson of St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School in West Islip with a legislative resolution recognizing her achievement of becoming the first Long Island student-athlete to be named to the McDonald’s 2006 All-American Team. Danielle is a senior at St. John’s, averaging about 30 points and 20 rebounds per game. During her athletic career, Danielle has scored over 2,000 points earning her acceptance into an exclusive Long Island girls basketball club.

"Danielle’s hard work and determination has taken her to the top of her game and for that I commend her on this tremendous achievement," said Senator Johnson.
