State Capitol, Albany, New York, February 2, 2006-- State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, recently presented a check for $45,000 to Breast Cancer Help, Inc., at their Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center, which is located at the Rainbow Senior Center in Lindenhurst. The money Senator Johnson secured will be used to support B.C. Help’s breast cancer education and awareness programs in the community.
"Over the years, Breast Cancer Help has been a great support for cancer patients and survivors in the Long Island community by providing programs that promote both education and awareness and teaching individuals about the importance of early detection," said Senator Johnson. "I’m pleased to support their efforts so that their good work can continue."
