State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, was on hand for the dedication ceremony of the Town of Babylon’s Tanner Park Boardwalk in Copiague. Senator Johnson secured $1.5 million for the completion of the boardwalk and promenade and the construction of a new beach pavillion. Also honored by the Town of Babylon at the event was former Town of Babylon resident, the late Wanda Tilson, who frequented the Tanner Park Senior Citizen Center and who generously contributed funding for the Senior Center. The town created a promenade that runs from the Senior Center to the Boardwalk.
