Senator Johnson Visits Children's Centers New Home In Bay Shore

State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, recently met with officials of the Adults and Children With Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.’s (ACLD) Kramer Learning Center at the grounds of their soon-to-be new facility on Greenwood Road in Bay Shore. The new facility -- "The Children’s Center for Learning and Recreation at Bay Shore" will be located on the grounds of the former Mark Country Day School property. It will include a children’s community center that will feature pre-school, recreational and other programs for children with learning and physical disabilities.

"ACLD’s Kramer Learning Center has been helping children and families in our community for many years and I’m pleased that they are expanding their presence in Bay Shore," said Senator Johnson. "This expansion is a testament to the success of their programs and the positive impact they’ve had on the lives of those they serve."

ACLD is a leading not-for-profit agency on Long Island that serves the needs of nearly 3,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities. Their Children’s Services Program provides comprehensive diagnostic education and therapeutic services for more than 250 young children from 3 to 5 years of age with physical and developmental disabilities.
