Senator Fuschillo Announces New Safety Improvements to Be Made at Intersection of Sunrise Highway and Bellmore Avenue

State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) announced that the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) will be making a new safety improvement at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore.
According to the DOT, a new right turn lane will be added on the eastbound side of Sunrise Highway at the Bellmore Avenue intersection. The DOT expects the lane to be added by the end of the year.
DOT made the determination after conducting an investigation requested by Senator Fuschillo, who was contacted by concerned residents in the area.
