State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) announced that the State Senate recently passed a resolution which included $5,000 in state funding for the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The funding will help offset the costs of the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s legal services program. The program offers free legal services to victims of domestic violence in family court for orders of child custody, visitation, support, and protection.
“This funding will really have an impact on our program. Senator Fuschillo’s support and commitment truly makes a difference in the lives of Suffolk County residents. On behalf of all of those who will benefit from these funds, I express our sincere appreciation,” said Jo Anne Mitidieri Sanders, Executive Director of the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The resolution is now before the State Assembly for approval.
