New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) announced today that he will be hosting his annual Fall Community Health and Wellness Expo for families and seniors throughout Northeast Queens on Saturday, November 21st. The expo will take from 11 am to 2 pm at Our Lady of the Snows Church located at 258-15 80th Ave. in Floral Park (entrance and parking on 258th Street).
“This event provides Northeast Queens families, seniors and residents access to not only free health screenings but they can also obtain information on health and wellness programs and services here in our community,” Padavan said. “This is a great opportunity for residents to take a few hours and head to Our Lady of the Snows Church on Saturday November 21st and learn more about what they can do for their health and the well being of their loved ones.”
Throughout the morning and early afternoon Northeast Queens residents will be able to access free health screenings, services and information related to their health and wellness. Free health services include spinal screenings, dental screenings, body fat analysis, glucose and cholesterol screenings, glaucoma and eye hypertension screenings and blood pressure testing. Local health care providers and community partners will also be on hand with the most up to date information on health and community concerns.
Among the health and community partners scheduled to participate in the Padavan’s Fall Community Health and Wellness Expo on November 21st are: New York Hospital Queens, Flushing Medical Center, Fire Department of New York, North Shore LIJ, Cross Island YMCA, Lions Eye Bank of Long Island, Flushing YMCA, New York State Comptroller’s Office, Health Corps, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, American Diabetes Association, Visiting Nurse Services and many more.
