Senator Golden Announces 2nd Annual 4th of July Picnic

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing the 2nd Annual Greater Bay Ridge 4th of July Picnic to be held on Saturday, July 4, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the field at 82nd Street and Shore Road.

The event will feature performances by (8) live bands including: Pill Hill Radio, Lucky 13, High Ties, The Ridge, John Lepore & The Silver Falcons, The Rockinghams, Prodigal Child and Frankie Marra & His Band. The event will also feature rides and sprinklers for the children as well as raffles.

Participants can bring their own picnic basket or purchase from the barbecue a variety of items such as hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage, drinks, ice cream, and more. All proceeds go to benefit the 68th Precinct Youth Council, CERT 1 NYC, and BRAVO Volunteer Ambulance Service. Bring a blanket, a chair, your family and friends. No barbecues or beach umbrellas are permitted.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "July 4th is America’s Birthday. Come and join us to celebrate at our country’s birthday in one of the most beautiful parks in the greatest City in this nation. What a better way to celebrate the 4th of July then amongst family, friends and neighbors while supporting some great neighborhood causes."
