Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, Brooklyn) recently donated a sign which has been installed under the scoreboard at the Fort Hamilton High School field which reads, “New York City Public Schools Athletic League Champions, 2005-2006 Back to Back Undefeated”.
Senator Golden purchased the sign and donated it to the team in recognition of their repeated championship victories in both 2005 and 2006. Last week, the football team, Principal Jo Ann Chester, Coaches Vincent Laino and Daniel Perez, thanked Senator Golden for the sign which recognizes this milestone achievement.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “We have truly great talent in the Fort Hamilton High School football team who won the citywide championship in both 2005 and 2006. I thought it was important that such great success be recognized in a way that all teams that play on the field, and all residents of the neighborhood who use the track and field, can know that our high school team is truly one of the very best in the City of New York.”
Golden continued, “I look forward to the next football season and seeing these young men compete for yet another City championship. I am sure under the leadership of Principal Jo Ann Chester and Coaches Vinny Laino and Daniel Perez, the team will continue to make Bay Ridge proud. Go Tigers!”
