It is with great joy and respect that I write this letter to welcome you as the newly installed Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. Your message of joy and hope has already touched the hearts of so many!

It would be a tremendous honor to greet you and welcome you to break bread with me and the 150 ministers who are members of the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization.

As the Pastor and the President of the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization, I am deeply encouraged by your message of love and respect for the dignity of all stages of human life, and respect for marriage and families.

As a State Senator who represents South Bronx, I look forward to meeting you and working with you in the spirit of interfaith unity as we serve all members of the human family.
